That's the way I would read it. Does sort of seem like the "thank you"
clause is superfluous after point #2, but then why does the standard
Apache license have a clause #3 *requiring* the "thank you"?
Anyway, the "In addition" paragraph still does serve a purpose of making
people think about saying thanks somehow, more than clause #2 does.
