[jdom-interest] Maybe off topic: Standard XML representation for any Java object

I apologize in advance if this is off topic, but there are so many XML gurus
on this list I thought I might get a thorough response.

This may be a silly question, but does a DTD exist for describing any Java
object. That is, is there a way to represent any Java object using a some
sort of standardized XML.
