Yes!  Although I am in fact getting tired of this discussion, it is an
example of one of the many reasons I like to do open source development.  In
a commercial situation, somebody would have made a snap decision in a day.
It success or failure wouln't have become apparent until after the release.
Here, we are really discussing at a very deep level the friction between two
of our original visions, simple and well formed as Jason pointed out.  This
is the kind of discussion anybody attempting to do an infrastructure api
should have but too often is thrown by the wayside.  The people on different
sides of this discussion all have the same motive: the best api.  Because we
are all volunteers, we do this because at least on some level, we actually
enjoy discussions like this.  I know I do and feel I benefit greatly from
them.  You always have the option to bow out, either by thread or from the
list entirely.  

All is well in JDOM land IMHO.
