The JSR is chartered with creating the 1.0 release.  The reason we
didn't do a 1.0 earlier and don't want to do a 1.0 now is because we
don't want to lose the ability to break backward compatibility.  Once we
hit 1.0, backward compatibility will become of paramount importance.

According to JSR definitions, JDOM is approaching community review.  :-)
