[jdom-interest] Does JDOM support norvegian characters

hi
	i want to use JDOM to create documents using xml files that contain
norvegian characters. when i tried to use it with encording utf-8 it gave me
an invalid xml character. 
	setEncording in the XMLOutputter(String indent, boolean  pass,
String encoding)  did not allow the
		UTF-16
		windows-1252
		only ISO-8859-1 worked but that still did not support
norvegian characters
can u tell me a way to do this. i need this quickly thank u.
