[jdom-interest] Performance tests

i was careful to use the latest version of JDOM, right out of CVS, 
for the benchmarks that are to be published in july. namespace
performance seemed to be pretty good.

Dennis, you should be aware there was a simple optimization made after
JDOM beta6 (available in CVS) which improved document parse time by 20x
for small files using namespaces.  Outside that we haven't done any real
optimization work yet.
