[jdom-interest] help whit a JDOMException

hi,
I'm unsuccessfully trying to get a org.jdom.Document
using a new SAXBuilder(true) and an XML String with a
DTD inside. I get this Exception:

org.jdom.JDOMException: Error on line 1: Document root
element "cro", must match DOCTYPE root "cro".

What does it mean? the root elemement actually IS
<cro> and the DTD part begins with 

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ASCII"?><!DOCTYPE cro [
...

so, what's going on? Anyone can help me?
