[jdom-interest] detaching root element from the document

Hello All,

I was browsing thru the archives of this mailing list on Merging two JDOM
Trees thread.

In the list it is mentioned that I extract the rootElement from the document
and then call detach() on it. After this I should add the node into the new
JDOM Tree.

However, the Element does not have any api called detach().

How to first detach an element from its document so that  it can be added to
a new JDOM Tree ?
