"identity xslt transform?"  Sounds interesting but what is that.  Bob
McWhirter speculated that Canonical XML should be just a series of Xpath
statements.  Ultimately these need to produce a file that can be compared
with diff.  At least that's how James Clark's version for the conformance
suite worked.
