I've already promised to get the long awaited next version out by the 
end of the month. I'll extend it to cover some document components that 
aren't covered by what's out there now, and also update for JDOM beta 8 
changes.

Using text for Java serialization would still be better than default 
serialization, though - both faster and more compact.
