hi this is regarding the problem i posted
i am able to solve it.
the problem was it was using
the dombuilders default jaxp parser, which was not visible to it.
so, i kept the jaxp.jar in classpath and it worked fine.

xerces.jar is already in my classpath.
what exacltly is a provider mean

Sounds like JAXP cann't find a suitable parser, try putting
./lib/xerces.jar
in your classpath.
