[jdom-interest] & problems

My 2p:   is actually a unicode character!!
(quite a weird one... especially that you don't see  it).

Modern times with well managed charsets make it not a problem to 
exchange this.

Outputting   in an XML source with no entity-description somewhere 
would even be wrong XML!
