In this case, you probably should use a SAX parser rather than JDOM.

Subject: [jdom-interest] As xml file size increases...

Hello,

It seams as the XML file size increases, parsing seems
to take more and more time. Does anyone have any
experience with large XML files ( > 500MB)? What is
the right way to parse such files especially when the
elements are simple (Just one type of element and each
element has a mandatory set of 5 attributes and that's
all)?

In other words, when JDOM becomes unsuitable for a
given hardware configuration?

Thanks,
Chandu.
