[jdom-interest] Toward beta 9

I see you are right, it has been done. And a better solution than mine,
sort-of. I had to do the inheritance because I decided not to use the
org.jdom package (it does belong in the org.jdom.input package).

If it does not provide "earth shattering" boost to performance, then it is
not the Verification at fault.

Oh well, that was my daily diversion. I will give it a performance test just
to get some numbers for myself.

Maybe Steve Conover could have a go as well.
