As I recall, FSF was concerned about possible
"loophole", of offering services that were based on
GPL licensed code, to work around restrictions GPL
imposes on source code. I take that to imply that they
too consider it would be a stretch to consider such
access linking. I can see that being a concern, given
GNU goals.

But hey, what do I know: I am just idly speculating on
a product-related mailing list, instead of discussing
this serious matter with the real experts on more
focused discussion forums,
